Our class, in our words:

Being in Squirrel class is super fun and exciting, because we have amazing lessons that teach us about lots of interesting subjects. Our lessons are enjoyable but also challenge us to become independent learners. We love being in this class with our wonderful teachers and helpers, who help us to complete our learning and make it great. This year we have created some amazing projects, like writing our own portal story, non-chronological reports and even cooked soup and made healthy wraps! We have been really lucky to have visitors come in to help with our Geography topic and English writing. We even got to visit the allotments in the village. We have enjoyed being a year 3 class together this year and are really looking forward to the rest of the exciting things we have planned for this school year.

Homework:

Spelling and Maths - Monday (handed out) and Monday (handed in)

Times Tables (introduced in the Spring term –Friday – practice book (handed out) and Friday (handed in)

In year 3, the children receive a weekly Maths and Spelling homework. The spellings are based on the Year 3 key spellings and their class spelling rule. In the Spring term we introduce times tables homework.

Spellings are tested on a Monday and times tables tested on a Friday. The times tables are tested with a time limit.

The will also receive occasional reading comprehension homework.

Reading journals will be collected weekly.
