Barns Green Primary School has a dedicated voluntary Governing Body that oversees the management side of the school: strategy, policy, budgeting and staffing. We’re dedicated to helping our school run as effectively as possible, working alongside senior leaders and supporting teachers to provide excellent education to children.
You can find out more about who our Governors are on our Meet the Governors page.

Circle of Governance
At the end of 2020, we changed from a committee structure to a ‘Circle of Governance’ – where the governing body works as a ‘whole team’ without any committees. Each governor is given special responsibility for a specific area of importance.

- Chair of Governors – Tom Plowman
- Vice Chair of Governors – Rob MacDonald
- Clerk to Governors – Gemma Lovegrove
